About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the sponsor's main contact for central laboratory services
  • Respond to clinical study-specific inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Review newly assigned protocols and amendments
  • Coordinate and manage completion of the Clinical Laboratory Worksheet (CLW)
  • Communicate study information to relevant ICON Laboratories and ICON Clinical CRO departments
  • Create and update study Project Management Plans
  • Ensure adherence to protocol-specific monitoring plans
  • Maintain study files and ensure appropriate document archiving at study closure
  • Provide sponsors with study management reports
  • Support clients on ICOLabs and iSite systems
  • Monitor study budgets using Protocol Tracking reports and other tools
  • Use the PM Dashboard to monitor study progress and escalate issues
  • Set timelines for shipment requests for storage samples and verify data
  • Represent ICON at Sponsor Investigator Meetings, Kick-Off Meetings, Bid Defenses, and Face-to-Face Governance meetings
  • Mentor and consult with junior team members
  • Escalate project management issues to the PM Manager and Senior/Executive Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • In-depth proven experience working in a clinical laboratory, clinical trials, or customer management/account management role in a life sciences related organization
  • Prior relevant experience successfully performing a Project Management role in a service area serving clinical trials, such as IVRS, Clinical Supplies Packaging and Distribution, Medical Imaging, Data Management, or Electronic Data Capture
  • Successful management providing technical services for multiple clinical trials
  • Experience presenting at Investigator Meetings
  • Experience implementing protocol amendments
  • Experience completing laboratory configurations
  • Experience with trial reconciliations
  • Experience participating in sponsor/regulatory audits
  • Experience with bid defences
  • Bachelor's degree or local equivalent in Science, Business or related Field and/or an alternative combination of experience, education, and training
  • Legal right to work in the country where the role is based
