About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the structuring and consolidation of the company’s legal department.
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership and business teams.
  • Support senior leadership in decision-making.
  • Lead the insourcing of legal activities currently supported by an external partner.
  • Ensure cross-functional management of commercial, labor, competition, corporate, regulatory, and litigation matters.
  • Develop the department’s processes, governance framework, policies, workflows, and performance indicators.
  • Manage external law firms and define insourcing and outsourcing strategies.
  • Anticipate risks and develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the transition to an in-house legal structure, with an integrated view of the company’s risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Solid experience in Corporate Legal.
  • Experience in leadership positions.
  • Generalist background, with exposure to multiple areas of law.
  • Experience advising senior leadership.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Preferred: experience structuring or insourcing legal departments.
  • Preferred: experience working in multinational companies.
  • Preferred: experience with LATAM operations.
  • Analytical mindset.
