About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate, edit, and proofread content from Russian into English
Produce high-quality content across varied text types, primarily for highly regulated iGaming markets
Complete linguistic quality assessments of translation samples
Provide constructive, professional feedback to freelance collaborators
Assess source texts and flag issues using linguistic expertise
Verify and finalise task scope, liaising directly with clients when required
Reconcile edits directly with other linguists in the workflow
Communicate proactively with Project and Senior Managers to maintain visibility across tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Native-level English speaker with an advanced knowledge of Russian
Qualified translator through one of the following: translation or language-related degree; degree in any subject and two years of full-time professional translation experience; or five years of full-time professional translation experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and reliability in task ownership in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with CAT tools, including memoQ and other localisation software
Receptive to receiving and acting upon constructive feedback
Ability to organise and manage multiple time-sensitive linguistic tasks
Right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship; the role does not offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship
