About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead employer outreach, industry engagement, and partnership development for a workforce development program
  • Provide strategic guidance on industry workforce needs, skills gaps, digital transformation priorities, and emerging sector trends
  • Recruit, onboard, and maintain long-term engagement with participating manufacturing employers
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry associations, ecosystem partners, and workforce development stakeholders
  • Act as primary liaison for participating employers and sector stakeholders
  • Ensure employer perspectives and industry priorities are reflected in program delivery, continuous improvement, and workforce development activities
  • Support employer participation and engagement targets through proactive outreach and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide regular updates and reports on employer engagement, stakeholder participation, industry insights, and progress toward targets
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize industry intelligence, employer feedback, and stakeholder insights
  • Stay current on manufacturing trends, workforce challenges, technology adoption, and regional economic developments
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen stakeholder participation, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem engagement
  • Facilitate dialogue among employers, industry stakeholders, and program teams
  • Contribute to program design, delivery, evaluation, and future workforce development initiatives
  • Develop strategic content and messaging articulating ICTC's value proposition to industry partners
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to enhance service offerings for businesses
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and internal teams to align program activities with employer needs and ICTC objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, partnership development, industry engagement, or stakeholder management
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development and program targets
  • Strong, established industry network and deep understanding of Ontario’s business landscape, market, and culture
  • Proven track record building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior stakeholders and key industry influencers in Ontario
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking with practical ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fully bilingual in French and English is required
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships
  • Experience in digital transformation, workforce development, or technology capacity building
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with remote teams across Canada
  • High integrity, good judgment, confidentiality, and ethical compliance
