About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure assigned projects remain on track according to approved business plans
Influence and negotiate process adjustments and improvements supporting business objectives
Lead major projects and complete assignments through business partnering
Present project issues, recommendations, and updates
Identify linkages between parallel Operations projects and address inconsistencies across similar products
Mentor junior project managers within the global team
Facilitate interdisciplinary Operations teams, managing team dynamics, schedules, conflict resolution, communication, motivation, and training
Define clear goals, identify barriers, and facilitate rapid decision-making
Interface with corporate management and plant personnel
Collect, analyze, integrate, and maintain cross-functional deliverables
Understand critical path activities and anticipate bottlenecks
Maintain accurate project budgets and timelines and provide information during financial planning cycles
Identify deviations from approved plans and timelines and inform plant and corporate management
Develop and execute communication plans for plant management, corporate management, and external partners
Manage and delegate resources according to approved project plans and escalate resource issues
Interact with senior leaders and executives, including negotiating and influencing on significant organizational matters
Work on special projects as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be at least 18 years of age
Bachelor’s degree in a technical area of study or equivalent work experience
5+ years of project management experience
PMP certification is preferred
Experience in planning and executing strategic projects
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and their application
Familiarity with design control concepts
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize business objectives and respond to changing priorities
Ability to work in a team environment and positively influence others
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Proficiency in simple accounting
Demonstrated communication skills, including clearly communicating ideas
Proven leadership skills
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities
Ability to effectively communicate with executive management
