About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for manufacturing operations
- Process and track purchase orders and changes
- Perform cycle counts and record results
- Compile inventory information, including consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand, to determine replenishment needs
- Input data and generate audit reports
- Coordinate physical movement of parts and materials
- Update receiving-related systems
- Monitor material handling activities and internal customer delivery expectations
- Report to the shift supervisor and provide report data to management
- Record and track shipping transactions using a scan gun
- Forecast Bill of Materials (BOM) with team leaders and supervisors
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, material, size, and specifications
- Perform quality checks and housekeeping in the 5S area/aisle
- Follow SOPs and all applicable safety protocols
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred; will be trained and certified on the hi-lo
- (1) year of experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to operate a forklift and heavy equipment safely
- Able to read and understand written directions, schedules, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn the production process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime, early starts, late finishes, and weekends
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled, potentially dusty, debris-filled, and loud manufacturing setting
