About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate presses to cut, shape, and design metal of various types and gauges
- Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment that may contain dust and debris and may be loud
- Load and unload metal coils and ensure machines do not run out of materials
- Locate products
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions or irregularities
- Fix machines to run and operate properly
- Perform preventative maintenance on presses
- Follow standard operating procedures and applicable safety procedures
- Properly handle finished parts and products
- Monitor product quality and perform quality checks
- Perform housekeeping at the machine
- Complete production reporting
- Work the Sunday–Thursday third shift, 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., with overtime as needed, including weekends
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred; training and certification provided
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong aptitude for operating machinery
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, sit, and occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection
- Ability to work with or without reasonable accommodation
