About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and support investment cases through technical, economic and capacity studies
- Present investment cases to management
- Carry out acceptance and equipment qualification phases at supplier and IDEMIA sites
- Anticipate and implement tests and measurements within cost, quality and time constraints
- Coordinate equipment transfer projects between sites and suppliers
- Visit equipment suppliers and conduct tests to assess potential equipment capabilities and benchmarks
- Write technical documentation, including work instructions, control plans, manufacturing process settings and troubleshooting documentation
- Monitor production start-up of installed equipment and collect key production indicators
- Collect operational data and user recommendations to define and propose improvement solutions
- Challenge users and management to implement proposed solutions
- Support new product industrialization by organizing or leading defined tests and DOE
- Support new product deployment using guidelines and track pilot KPIs
- Train as a Level 2 Laser Expert to support the Level 3 Laser Expert
- Propose optimized equipment and associated service solutions for tenders
- Travel internationally across IDEMIA service centers, partners and suppliers, with estimated travel time of 30%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in industry/workshop environments with automated fast-throughput processes
- 5–10 years of experience
- Experience with project management methods
- Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, systems and processes, including mechanics, electronics, PLC and automation
- Very strong hands-on aptitude
- Mechanical, Engineering or Production Master degree
- Fluent English level
- German would be a plus
- Proficiency with Office IT tools
- AutoCAD knowledge for workshop footprints
- Knowledge of laser engraving technologies would be a plus
- Plastic/printing knowledge would be a plus
- Aptitude for diagnosing and solving problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with technical information
- Project management skills

- Ability to work at a fast pace to cope with Smart Card industry hourly demand
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multicultural team
