About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clients with diagnostic evaluation in clinical pathology
- Provide follow-up consultation
- Perform gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens
- Prepare pathology reports promptly
- Meet caseload and turnaround expectations
- Provide telephone consultations to clients
- Consult with and assist other pathologists
- Advise and assist laboratory personnel with specimen processing techniques
- Function as the pathologist on duty
- Participate in pathologist meetings
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Participate in quality control programs
- Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through continuing education
- Engage in approved professional activities that improve IDEXX’s function or professional reputation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Board certification in clinical pathology; ACVP or ECVCP preferred
- Applications from pathologists with local boards (e.g. FTA für Klinische Laboratoriumsdiagnostik) and board-eligible pathologists encouraged
- Fluent in German and English
- Familiarity with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine
- Ability to type and use dictation equipment
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Service-oriented attitude
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Computer skills required
- Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory preferred
