About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer inbound phone calls about IDEXX in-house hematology diagnostic analyzers, including ProCyte and LaserCyte
- Troubleshoot hardware technical problems and software integration issues
- Assist with equipment installations and shutdowns
- Provide proactive education on maintenance, workflows, and preparation of hematology samples
- Track case notes appropriately
- Navigate customer inquiries and provide solutions using documentation and software programs
- Support veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and animal healthcare diagnostic professionals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or scientific discipline is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer and technical skills, with aptitude to learn applicable software and hardware
- Ability to provide extraordinary customer service
- Experience in a technically related field, veterinary practice, laboratory setting, and/or contact center environment is helpful
- Ability to learn quickly and apply skills to varied customer interactions
- Superb verbal and written listening and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly
- Ability to be on the phone for 8 hours a day
- Scheduling flexibility to work days, evenings until 9 pm, and rotating weekends
- On-call time may be required
- Reliable and dependable attendance is essential
