About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fulfill customer orders for diagnostic products and supplies through phone, fax, and email
- Establish credibility with domestic veterinary customers
- Use discovery to recommend additional products and services
- Answer questions about product ordering, shipping inquiries, and IDEXX online platforms
- Maintain accurate customer profiles and interactions in Salesforce.com
- Provide an outstanding customer experience
- Receive inbound calls and emails through a phone queue for the majority of the day
- Attend trainings, coaching sessions, and individual development time
- Ask open-ended questions to uncover customer needs and clarify concerns
- Guide conversations toward differentiated solutions and services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sales, customer service and/or customer-facing experience
- Prior phone experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly
- Capability to absorb and articulate technical information
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented while working collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills, especially in a multitasking environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding of the veterinary diagnostic market and experience in healthcare or scientific industry is a plus
- Ability to work 8.5 hours between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM EST Monday-Friday
- Ability to work a rotating monthly Saturday shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
- High-speed hardwired internet connection with minimum 15 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or scientific discipline is a plus
