About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the global Lab Information Management PMO
- Oversee and manage high-visibility projects focused on implementing a new Global Lab Information System
- Work closely with global laboratory operations teams
- Define project scope
- Create and communicate end-to-end project plans
- Outline dependencies and roles
- Assess risks and escalate issues to ensure successful project completion
- Lead project teams across complex project and work plans with multiple dependencies
- Manage strategic initiatives and balance resources across projects
- Own highly visible projects within a collaborative team
- Present projects to senior executives and company stakeholders
- Track and follow up on efforts and tasks
- Manage project scope and prepare analyses to highlight issues, resolve questions, and identify risks
- Mentor, train, and motivate other project managers; potentially manage staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Background in a healthcare or scientific environment
- Interest in innovative solutions to veterinary health care
- Ability to understand complex problems and drive change in fast-paced reference labs
- Ability to facilitate collaboration and manage conflict effectively
- Comfortable leading without authority and making timely decisions
- Proven strong work ethic and self-driven approach
- Superior organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams and manage customer expectations
- Ability to mentor, train, and motivate project managers; may directly manage staff
- Experience and knowledge of project management, including agile and waterfall PM lifecycle processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Analytical orientation and excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to drive results in a highly matrixed, relationship-based organization
