About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, review, revise, and support the execution of commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Ensure contractual terms align with organizational objectives, internal policies, legal requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, requirements, and approvals throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Promote consistent use of IFF-approved contract templates and standardized contractual language.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, clients, and business partners in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams.
  • Work with Legal to develop fallback provisions and resolve contractual issues during negotiations.
  • Identify contractual risks, obligations, and potential liabilities; recommend mitigation strategies and support risk management initiatives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for contractual matters and guide stakeholders on contractual obligations.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and coordinate timely renewals or terminations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, legal terminology, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to identify contractual risks and translate complex legal concepts into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with contract management systems or enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting contracts within procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or global operations environments.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools, enterprise resource planning systems, or digital contract repositories.
  • A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to contract negotiation and stakeholder support.
