About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform entry-level break/fix service, routine preventative maintenance, and installation support on lottery and gaming equipment
- Communicate with customers through email and chat to gather service-need details
- Follow established protocols to determine causes of common functionality issues under senior FST guidance
- Review technical documentation, manuals, and diagrams to verify equipment, software, and peripheral installation
- Connect machines to the proper system alongside experienced technicians
- Use diagnostic tools for basic testing and troubleshoot unambiguous machine issues
- Visually inspect equipment for damage or wear
- Disassemble and reassemble machines according to preventative maintenance protocols
- Repair or replace peripherals and hardware parts covered under warranty or service contracts
- Review product verification data with the on-site FST to confirm resolution
- Create tickets for basic Lottery service issues and gather required communications, pictures, and part numbers
- Complete timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, and PM/installation documents
- Document parts shipped to sites or storage and stock the fleet vehicle with supplies
- Record serial numbers and repair tags for damaged or replaced components
- Escalate uncommon or ambiguous issues to senior Field Service Technicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license within service area
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations within a 3-year period
- Ability to obtain a technician's license for all jurisdictions covered in service region
- Preferred: high school diploma or GED and one year of work experience in electronics, technical repair, electronic equipment maintenance, or a related field; or a technical degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: one year of experience in hardware, software, or PC repair
- Preferred: six months of experience working with gaming machines
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty pounds for a significant distance
- Ability to sit and drive for prolonged periods
- Dexterity when working with tools
- Ability to work with moving parts and electrical current
- Ability to work at heights, in close quarters, and in inclement weather during some installations
