About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations for IGT and its subsidiary entities
  • Oversee biweekly payroll activities, including timecard review, payroll calculations, pay differentials, deductions, taxes, adjustments, and control records
  • Audit employee and payroll data in ADP and SAP SuccessFactors
  • Review payroll calculations and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure prompt resolution
  • Partner with People & Culture, Finance, Accounting, Benefits, and other teams
  • Support domestic and international payroll activities and coordinate with payroll vendors
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, wage-and-hour requirements, company policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and government regulations
  • Coordinate year-end and periodic payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution and other tax reporting
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, expenditure records, analyses, and leadership status updates
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures, controls, documentation, and performance measures
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, controls, and process efficiency
  • Manage domestic and international payroll provider relationships
  • Respond to employee and leadership payroll questions with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage payroll team members, including performance management, training, scheduling, and career development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
  • Progressive payroll experience, including experience leading payroll operations and supervising payroll professionals
  • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll solutions and SAP
  • SAP SuccessFactors experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-state, and/or international payroll operations
  • Knowledge of payroll taxation, wage-and-hour regulations, payroll accounting, SOX controls, and year-end reporting requirements
  • Experience with Canada or Latin America payroll operations is preferred
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective partnerships across teams and with external vendors
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred
