About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop project objectives based on predefined customer strategy
Define project scope, activities, sequences, dependencies, and task durations
Manage project resources and materials
Facilitate team building and communication
Provide direction and decision-making for problem resolution
Implement communication, documentation, quality, and change-control processes
Coordinate, approve, and track project expenses
Assess and manage strategic, technical, financial, political, and business risks
Coordinate across corporate and regional departments to ensure timely, quality deliverables
Monitor project matters daily and assign or delegate tasks
Report progress weekly, identify jeopardizing factors, escalate issues, and recommend solutions
Analyze, review, and forecast project spending with Finance
Coordinate post-project reviews to improve future project performance
Perform post-project and employee performance reviews
Mentor less experienced Project Managers and/or Project Specialists
Manage business, functional, non-functional, and system requirements as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Management, Business, Engineering or Information Technology) or equivalent experience
Four to seven years of project management experience with demonstrated success delivering systems
Experience managing schedules, budgets, and scope
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Must be able to pass a security background investigation
Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum environments is considered an asset
Experience with project management scheduling tools, such as MS Project or Clarity
Willingness to travel
Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies
