Field Service Technician
IKO North America. Promote IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the contracting community .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the contracting community
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries on technical issues relating to commercial roofing and building envelope
- Liaise with the commercial contracting community
- Perform quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed sites
- Prepare and conduct theory and hands-on commercial product training for existing and potential Registered Contractors
- Liaise with the contracting community and distribution network on product promotion and theory education
- Produce written inspection and quality assurance reports for internal and external customers
- Attend and participate in related association events to promote IKO Commercial products
- Travel within the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with the application of commercial roofing products is a must
- Experience with the application of building envelope products is an asset
- Roofing, Construction Technology or Construction degree is an asset
- Experience with quality assurance inspections is an asset
- Product sales or promotion experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while working independently
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Up to 80% travel may be required
