About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide real-time electronic medical record support as a physician’s direct personal assistant
- Interpret symptoms and document doctor-patient visits and complete clinical charting for each patient
- Draft HPIs, PEs, and ROSs
- Analyze lab reports
- Provide EHR charting support directly for physicians as a charting assistant
- Work directly with physicians during outpatient office hours
- Complete the IKS scribe training program and required assessments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant or Medical Transcriptionist OR completed courses or training in Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology
- Other clinical experience may be considered
- Must pass initial medical terminology assessment
- Must successfully complete the IKS scribe training program and pass all required assessments
- Ability to work from home in a designated HIPAA compliant workspace
- Secure reliable internet connection at home
- Availability to work full, uninterrupted day shifts (8 to 10 hours), Monday through Friday, during outpatient office hours between 7 A.M. - 7 P.M. EST, CST, or PST
- Commit to a minimum of 10 months employment
- Strong computer, typing, and communication skills
- Typing speed of 40 wpm with 90% accuracy (typing test required)
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Currently live within the borders of the United States
- Experience with an EHR/EMR system is preferred
- Specialty experience in EHR documentation with outpatient clinics is preferred
- Bi-Lingual is preferred and requires successful completion of bi-lingual assessment
- Strong leadership skills are preferred
- Plans to enroll into medical, physician assistant, or nursing school are preferred
- Good understanding of technology and its integration with the medical industry is preferred
- Passion for healthcare is preferred
