About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with Ford Motor Company and other Imagination clients to understand their business, brands, audiences and stories
  • Deconstruct client briefs and identify underlying business, brand, audience and cultural challenges
  • Reframe briefs into clear strategic and creative opportunities
  • Develop internal creative briefs and identify key thoughts, tensions, insights or cultural opportunities
  • Develop creative territories, thought starters and early-stage ideas
  • Work with Creative Directors and creative teams to evolve ideas into compelling concepts
  • Connect strategy to experiences, content, live events, digital and broader brand storytelling
  • Develop narrative architecture behind major Ford programs and brand moments
  • Present and sell creative thinking internally and to clients
  • Write creative briefs, positioning statements, brand and experience narratives, manifestos, concept descriptions, names, audience propositions, strategic frameworks, presentation narratives, treatments, scripts, voiceover and pitch decks
  • Structure decks and build clear narratives from challenge through opportunity to idea
  • Act as creative lead on selected projects from brief through delivery
  • Establish creative direction and lead internal creative teams and freelance talent
  • Work with production, digital and content producers to deliver film, social and digital storytelling
  • Guide decks, treatments and client presentations
  • Present work and facilitate creative conversations with Ford
  • Maintain a clear creative point of view throughout projects
  • Develop a deep understanding of Ford's brands, products, audiences, culture and communications
  • Help Ford show up across culture, entertainment, automotive, sport, technology and everyday life

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in creative direction, copywriting, creative strategy, brand storytelling or a combination of these
  • Natural storyteller able to make complex ideas simple and compelling
  • Strong writing skills with an instinct for language, tone and narrative
  • Strategic mindset, able to move from business challenge to creative opportunity
  • Comfortable developing ideas and thought starters
  • Confident structuring and building presentations in Google Slides
  • Strong understanding of organizing information and creating compelling narratives
  • Able to turn strategic thinking into clear, persuasive and visually engaging presentations
  • Curious about culture, audiences, brands and the world around them
  • Able to understand a client's business and translate it into creative work
  • Confident presenting to senior clients and defending a point of view
  • Comfortable collaborating with Creative, Account, Production and Digital teams
  • Able to lead when required and contribute when someone else is leading
  • Comfortable managing freelance creative talent
  • Experience using AI image-generation tools or other rapid visualization tools is a bonus
  • Comfortable working with designers and creatives on presentation craft
