About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the COGS, Pricing, Operational Control Center (OCC), and Master Data agendas, defining priorities, processes, KPIs, and governance for each area;
- Own theoretical and actual COGS management, ensuring visibility into key variances, root-cause identification, and the development of action plans;
- Lead the COGS variance reduction agenda, connecting losses, waste, inventories, technical recipe cards, master data, and operational execution;
- Drive the evolution of inventory and stock management processes by establishing KPIs, controls, and routines to increase accuracy and reduce losses;
- Monitor cost, inflation, and tax impact trends, anticipating their effects on COGS, margin, and the need for price reviews;
- Lead the Pricing strategy, defining drivers, price architecture, and adjustment recommendations by product, category, store, or cluster;
- Ensure price competitiveness tracking, incorporating market and competitor insights into decision-making;
- Define, in partnership with Sales and Marketing, the economic guidelines for offers, promotions, and commercial mechanics, ensuring a balance between competitiveness, sales, and margin;
- Define markdown strategies and processes for products approaching their expiration dates, seeking to reduce losses and maximize recovered margin;
- Lead the Operational Control Center, defining key indicators, alerts, and prioritization criteria for store monitoring;
- Ensure the tracking of major sales and operational variances, directing critical issues to Operations and following up on action plans through resolution;
- Ensure the availability and continuous improvement of dashboards, reports, and alerts, increasing the speed and quality of decision-making;
- Own the governance of product, price, promotion, and other point-of-sale parameter master data, ensuring quality, integrity, and adherence to deadlines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree completed;
- Strong people management skills, including team development, delegation of responsibilities, and ensuring clarity regarding deliverables, priorities, and deadlines;
- Advanced Excel and Business Intelligence tools knowledge, with the ability to work comfortably with large volumes of data;
- Knowledge of COGS, Pricing, performance indicators, and operational processes, preferably in retail, restaurants, or multi-unit businesses.
