About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain data integrity across a large Salesforce organization with extensive custom configuration
  • Build and maintain reconciliation checks between Salesforce and source systems
  • Deduplicate contact and household records; manage imports and extracts
  • Detect and prevent silent data loss
  • Define and evidence data-quality standards
  • Administer users, profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security using least privilege
  • Conduct periodic access reviews
  • Handle mentor, student, and donor records in line with FERPA, donor obligations, and data protection policy
  • Support SOC 2 work with evidence from the Salesforce administration area
  • Own integrations feeding Salesforce, including FormAssembly, the in-house Platform, Campaign Monitor, Eventbrite, DocuSign, Calendly, DemandTools, and donation tools
  • Diagnose failed and partial records using connector and integration logs; trace root causes to source systems
  • Configure and maintain field mappings, record-matching criteria, and upsert keys
  • Review changes to systems writing into Salesforce
  • Triage and resolve requests through the ticket queue
  • Train and enable staff through materials, demos, and sessions
  • Document configuration, workflows, and decision rationale
  • Administer NPSP, including households, affiliations, relationships, recurring donations, and rollup behavior
  • Support Development on donation data and campaign structure
  • Manage three annual Salesforce releases, including release-note review, sandbox testing, and change communication
  • In the first 90 days, map systems writing into Salesforce, establish reconciliation checks, complete an access review, and clear the inherited support backlog
  • Report to the Director of IT and collaborate with Recruitment, Screening, Program, and Development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of Salesforce administration experience in an organization with 100+ users
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems, including reading logs to establish root cause
  • Experience with data import, export, and deduplication at scale
  • Experience administering users, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules
  • Experience supporting users through a ticketing system
  • Ability to explain a technical constraint and its trade-offs to a non-technical colleague in writing
  • Comfortable using AI tools in daily technical work and verifying their output before production
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) experience preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
  • API integration experience and comfort with Postman, curl, and JSON preferred
  • Apex, SOQL, and Flow preferred
  • Experience administering FormAssembly, Campaign Monitor, Eventbrite, or DocuSign preferred
  • Experience working under a compliance framework such as SOC 2, FERPA, or similar preferred
