About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform workflow and system analysis and functional design for clinical application software development and configuration
  • Participate in implementation, training, adoption, and process improvement of Health Information Technology
  • Serve as a liaison between business and clinical users and software development/application teams
  • Support and periodically lead moderately complex informatics projects with limited supervision
  • Interact with business and clinical caregivers to build productive relationships
  • Provide customer experience and service through verbal and written communication
  • Prioritize and organize work with attention to detail
  • Contribute to technology project deliverables using basic project management skills
  • Round in facilities across the system to observe workflows, meet stakeholders, assist with implementations, and perform targeted functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working knowledge of workflows in a healthcare system
  • Proven experience engaging providers, nurses, and other clinicians through presentations and communication
  • Experience applying informatics fundamentals (People, Process, Technology) to impact quality and safety
  • Experience participating in and leading Informatics project deliverables
  • Experience working with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR vendors
  • Experience or training in Continuous Improvement
  • Registered Nurse and other licensed clinical incumbents must hold and maintain current state licensure
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical systems used to provide patient care across caregivers and specialties
  • Informatics, information systems, information technology, clinical informatics, process improvement, clinical systems, clinical information systems, business information systems, and clinical workflows knowledge
  • Ability to work flexible hours and with limited supervision
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, email, virtual meeting, and scheduling applications
  • Ability to round in facilities across the system and perform physical duties including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and working on hands and knees
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, monitors, equipment, and supplies; communicate and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues
  • 40 scheduled weekly hours
