About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess, guide, support, coordinate, and evaluate caregiver orientation and ongoing learning needs
  • Serve as a resource, consultant, mentor, and coach to caregivers, preceptors, and clinical coaches
  • Guide new caregiver orientation and support ongoing learning using standardized tools and resources
  • Apply educational design and adult learning principles to address needs-assessment and evaluation gaps
  • Collaborate across the organization to understand goals, priorities, and learning needs
  • Facilitate adoption of evidence-based practices and high-quality orientation
  • Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare
  • Foster creation and sharing of new knowledge and use evidence to advance NPD and clinical nursing practice
  • Champion the NPD specialty and integrate NPD principles to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders to support practice transitions, new initiatives, orientation, and ongoing education

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; degree verification required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development
  • Demonstrated nursing experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in nursing or a related field
  • Preferred: Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or a related specialty
  • Preferred: Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
  • Preferred: Local, Regional, or National Presentations or Publications
  • Ability to work 3–4 days per week onsite
  • Ability to travel to various locations as required
  • Ability to meet stated physical, communication, dexterity, computer-use, and driving requirements where applicable
