About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, plan, oversee, and partner with organizational leaders to execute strategic initiatives improving strategic, operational, and financial performance
  • Identify, develop, and implement system initiatives across Intermountain Health’s Desert Region
  • Collaborate with the Region Vice President of Strategy, Region Executive Leadership Team, and senior Intermountain leaders on region-wide initiatives and high-visibility special projects
  • Develop and coordinate initiative plans aligned with Intermountain Healthcare strategies and goals
  • Partner with multi-departmental leadership and stakeholders to develop, prioritize, and track projects using relevant measurement criteria
  • Ensure projects meet defined scope, quality, and timeline requirements
  • Advise Executive Sponsors and influence leaders to achieve strategic, financial, and operational objectives
  • Lead a team of strategy consultants and develop a positive, high-performing learning culture
  • Work effectively in high-pressure, dynamic, demanding, and ambiguous environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Las Vegas or Southwest Utah areas
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution; degree will be verified
  • 12 years of experience in a related role
  • Five years of experience in a leadership role, including direct working relationships with senior organizational leadership
  • Experience directing complex planning processes involving key organizational stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, presentation, data management, and word processing software
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations using presentation software
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Organizational skills supporting successful project management across multiple strategies and execution timelines
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring intense professional development, frequent performance evaluations, and rigorous skills development
  • Previous experience implementing high-profile projects in large integrated healthcare delivery networks
  • Preferred: experience developing and executing strategy within a hospital, health system, medical group, or other healthcare provider environment
  • Preferred: experience with managed care, payer strategy, value-based care, and/or risk-based contracting
  • Preferred: strong financial and business acumen, including analyzing financial performance, growth opportunities, and strategic investments
  • Preferred: experience working within pediatric and/or children’s health organizations or service lines
  • Preferred: experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, or other business development initiatives
