About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and stand-up of Immatics’ Authorized Treatment Center authorization program
  • Define qualification standards, SOPs, training curriculum, chain-of-identity and chain-of-custody controls, monitoring and audit plans
  • Lead execution across the US authorized treatment center network
  • Design and build the program and lead a team to activate the first wave of ATCs by launch readiness
  • Grow a team to sustain the ongoing authorization pipeline
  • Report to the VP, Launch Excellence, Strategy, & Operations
  • Design the anzu-cel ATC authorization program, including qualification criteria, risk-based assessment tooling, monitoring, requalification triggers, suspension/disqualification pathways, and monitoring plans
  • Develop SOPs governing ATC authorization, authorized-user training and system access, product receipt and handling, and deviation escalation
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Quality on risk mitigation and health authority questions
  • Benchmark and harmonize treatment-center requirements with ASTCT, FACT, accreditation standards, and manufacturer requirements
  • Support site selection and prioritization, ATC target lists, activation sequencing, and readiness tracking
  • Lead remote and on-site treatment-center qualification assessments across clinical care, leukapheresis, cell processing, pharmacy, cryostorage, and toxicity-management infrastructure
  • Drive centers to activation by closing qualification gaps and confirming first-patient readiness
  • Report ATC readiness into launch governance and own the authorization line on the integrated launch readiness plan
  • Develop and deliver anzu-cel treatment-center training for physicians, nurses, cell therapy coordinators, apheresis teams, and quality personnel
  • Maintain the authorized-user registry and oversee access to product ordering and chain-of-identity systems
  • Establish retraining triggers for label/process changes, staff turnover, and post-deviation remediation
  • Support manufacturer-side oversight of chain of identity and chain of custody at treatment centers
  • Define and verify workflows for product receipt, cryogenic storage, thaw, administration, labeling, and identity verification
  • Assess treatment-center impact of changes to collection, courier tracking, order intake, and order processing
  • Partner with Quality Assurance on deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and quality records
  • Ensure center-facing activity complies with Immatics policy and applicable healthcare law
  • Serve as internal authority on treatment-center operational readiness across Patient Supply, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and IT
  • Feed center-level insight into launch planning, including capacity constraints, referral dynamics, and operational barriers
  • Represent Immatics with accreditation bodies and cell therapy center consortia
  • Convene advisory boards of treatment-center practitioners
  • Define the field ATC operations model, including territory design, headcount, span ratios, and hiring sequence
  • Build and lead a regional ATC Operations field team and establish performance metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical, life sciences or healthcare administration field
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years of direct experience in cellular therapy operations
  • Working knowledge of FACT Immune Effector Cell Standards, chain of identity and chain of custody requirements, and GTP/GMP concepts as they apply at the point of care
  • An advanced clinical degree (MSN, MHA, PharmD, MPH) preferred
  • Clinical background (e.g., RN, NP, PA, PharmD, MSW) preferred
  • Experience building an authorization or site qualification program preferred
  • Launch experience with an autologous cell therapy, including the first wave of center activations preferred
  • Hands-on experience with leukapheresis workflows and treatment-center operations for cell therapy preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership of treatment center qualification, onboarding, training, and/or audit activities across commercial-stage or late-stage clinical cell or gene therapy programs preferred
  • In-depth understanding of treatment center workflows, cell therapy coordination, apheresis, and chain-of-identity / chain-of-custody logistics preferred
  • Working knowledge of ASTCT 80/20 Task Force guidance, FACT accreditation and inspection processes, and/or center-level REMS implementation preferred
  • Experience in a small or mid-cap biotech where the role carries both strategy and hands-on execution preferred
  • Track record of writing SOPs and quality documentation and of handling deviations and CAPA preferred
  • Player-coach mentality — comfortable operating hands-on while building and leading a team preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-first mindset and a calm, solution-oriented approach to escalation management
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a launch-phase environment
  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestically
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
  • Successful completion of a background check, reference checks, and pre-employment drug screening, where permitted by applicable law
