About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead implementation of Workday Payroll solutions, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with clients to understand payroll requirements and translate them into Workday Payroll configurations
- Configure payroll calculations, tax setups, earnings, deductions, and related processes
- Lead and mentor junior consultants on payroll configuration and implementation best practices
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate Workday Payroll with other systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues with clients and internal teams
- Stay current on Workday Payroll updates and features, assessing impacts on client implementations
- Contribute to internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Payroll implementation lifecycle processes, including system design, configuration, and project reviews
- Workday US Payroll certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, including payroll calculations, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex Workday Payroll projects from start to finish
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, project teams, and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members preferred
