About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design scalable, AI-powered enterprise software and modern architectures for SAP and non-SAP landscapes
Further develop enterprise, cloud, and product architecture
Design modern cloud-native and SaaS architectures
Establish engineering standards and reusable patterns for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, domain-driven design, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, and observability
Develop architecture patterns and guardrails for generative AI, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and foundation model integrations
Address security, data privacy, governance, monitoring, and cost control for AI architectures
Design integration and target architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and non-SAP platforms
Drive the modernization of existing applications toward modular and cloud-native architectures
Make technology decisions concerning Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, and data and AI platforms
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Security in architecture reviews
Provide technical support to engineering teams in implementing pragmatic architecture and engineering solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as an Enterprise, Cloud, Solution, or Software Architect
Strong practical understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
Experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and DevSecOps
Experience with AI-powered applications and modern AI architectures, such as generative AI, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation
Experience with Azure AI, AWS AI Services, SAP Business AI, or comparable platforms is a plus
Knowledge of SAP architectures and integrations, ideally SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP
Practical experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP); experience with the SAP BTP, Kyma runtime is a strong plus
Experience implementing engineering standards and architecture guardrails
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineering teams and at a strategic level
