About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape product strategy and direction by identifying high-impact opportunities
  • Define problems, challenge assumptions, and influence product priorities
  • Lead complex initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Own end-to-end product design, including interaction design, prototyping, and delivery
  • Translate complex financial products and workflows into intuitive experiences
  • Partner with Engineering during implementation to ensure shipped quality
  • Use research, data, and customer feedback to validate and improve solutions
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers on product outcomes
  • Facilitate problem-solving and navigate competing priorities and constraints
  • Communicate design decisions and build stakeholder alignment
  • Set a high bar for UX and interaction design quality
  • Mentor designers and teammates
  • Improve design practices, workflows, and collaboration
  • Contribute to the design system
  • Explore AI tools and workflows to accelerate design and development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of product design experience
  • Track record of leading complex, high-impact initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Exceptional UX and interaction design skills
  • Strong product judgment
  • Experience independently identifying opportunities, framing problems, exploring solutions, and influencing product direction
  • Strong partnership with Product and Engineering
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Pragmatic, iterative approach to design
  • Experience designing complex financial products, consumer fintech experiences, or regulated workflows is a plus
  • Experience in fast-moving, high-growth startup environments is a plus
  • Experience evolving and scaling design systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with experimentation, product analytics, and research-driven design is a plus
  • Experience using AI-assisted design, prototyping, or development tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies and modern design-to-development workflows is a plus
  • Stack: Figma, Storybook, design tokens, React/TypeScript component libraries, AI-assisted design and development tooling
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
