About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute technical deliverables within managed services engagements, including platform installations, configuration, upgrades, and environment optimization
  • Assume operational ownership of customer platforms and act as the embedded technical authority for those environments
  • Deploy and integrate visibility, monitoring, and operational tooling within customer environments
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in managed environments and identify root causes
  • Optimize and tune deployed solutions for performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Manage delivery workstreams to scope, timeline, and quality standards; surface risks or blockers to the Managed Services Manager
  • Communicate technical findings, delivery status, and recommendations to customer technical teams
  • Produce delivery documentation including configuration records, installation guides, runbooks, and handover materials
  • Submit documented Jira escalations to product and engineering teams for platform defects or gaps
  • Document reusable technical procedures, lessons learned, and engagement patterns
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve delivery efficiency and customer operational outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role involving installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networked software platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced Linux proficiency, including filesystem and process management, log analysis, resource monitoring, and diagnosing system-level issues from command-line output
  • Solid working knowledge of DHCP, lease behavior, relay agent operation, and common failure modes
  • Solid working knowledge of DNS, including resolution chains, authoritative and recursive resolver behavior, TTL behavior, record types, and resolution failure diagnosis
  • Ability to run and interpret packet captures using tcpdump, Wireshark, or equivalent
  • Working understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and network architecture in multi-tier service provider environments
  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot OSS/network management platforms
  • Confident and professional customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to manage delivery workstreams independently, track tasks, maintain scope, meet deadlines, and communicate risks
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to produce customer-deliverable technical documentation
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of DOCSIS, TFTP, CWMP/TR-069, and TR-369/USP
  • Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Experience interpreting application logs to identify root cause and propose remediation
  • Familiarity with monitoring and visibility tooling integration in production environments
  • Experience with relational or non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and XML
  • Experience presenting technical outcomes to customer management audiences
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
