About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver a high-quality housing management service and fulfil landlord duties
- Coordinate housing services to keep neighbourhoods clean, safe and welcoming
- Spend 80% of time in neighbourhoods
- Manage a neighbourhood patch and identify required works to properties and common areas
- Complete property inspections and tenancy checks; maintain accurate tenancy records
- Address tenancy obligation breaches and anti-social behaviour through action plans
- Identify customer support needs and make internal, external and safeguarding referrals
- Identify and manage gas, electrical and fire safety compliance risks
- Develop and coordinate neighbourhood action plans with the wider business and customers
- Build relationships with police, local authorities and other stakeholders
- Contribute to investment and other projects as required
- Respond to and reduce complaints through de-escalation and improved customer satisfaction
- Tailor services to customers’ diverse needs
- Identify local investment and enrichment opportunities to improve residents’ lives and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour
- Develop knowledge of social housing, community issues, case law, best practice, legislation and national initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience dealing with customers face to face in a housing-related role
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements and positive outcomes for communities
- Knowledge of dealing with anti-social behaviour complaints
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service and making a difference to people’s lives
- Awareness of customers’ diverse needs
- Flexible and adaptable approach to a changing and varied workload
- Demonstrable ability to write and communicate clearly and appropriately to different audiences
- Ability to gather, record and analyse data using manual and electronic systems, including Microsoft packages
- Excellent organisation, project management and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, driven and skilled at taking ownership
- Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
- Basic DBS check required as part of pre-employment process
