About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Intensively manage a caseload of tenants with multiple care and support needs to sustain tenancies and improve wellbeing
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for current and prospective tenants
  • Develop outcome-focused tenancy intervention plans in partnership with tenants, setting goals and tracking progress
  • Identify and link tenants with specialist services to address unmet needs
  • Monitor engagement with support services and safeguard vulnerable tenants from abuse and neglect
  • Work with local authorities, social care, and health systems to secure appropriate support
  • Advocate for policy and strategy improvements enhancing support provision within the district
  • Provide oversight of tenancy management throughout support interventions
  • Review intensively managed tenancies with tenants, specialist providers, and Neighbourhood Housing Officers for transition to general tenancy management
  • Collaborate with Neighbourhood Housing Officers to manage communities containing intensively managed tenancies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong awareness of the barriers that vulnerable individuals with support needs face in securing housing and sustaining a tenancy, with the ability to navigate and address these challenges effectively
  • Proven experience in tenancy and estate management, including knowledge of standards, best practices, and enforcement procedures
  • Extensive experience managing customers with multiple and complex needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours, with a focus on positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence service provision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds and relationship-building
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage active cases efficiently during continuous crisis situations
  • Full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle for work
  • Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Enhanced DBS check required as part of the pre-employment process
