About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform research and interviews to determine technical business requirements and translate them into specifications for technical projects
- Provide internal technical support and manage web-based services and customer support
- Confirm requirements to ensure they meet stakeholders' needs
- Engage end users and business stakeholders to document and communicate business requirements
- Translate product vision into detailed specifications for the development team
- Present user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, and process flow diagrams to the development team
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or Business Support
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Ability to work with business rules, system configurations, and operational processes
- Technical curiosity and the capacity to learn proprietary systems
- Experience supporting web-based applications or business systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Insurance industry experience (nice to have)
- Exposure to claims or rating systems (nice to have)
- Experience with business rules engines such as InRule (nice to have)
- Experience in customer service or operational support environments (nice to have)
