About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members at Indiana Members Credit Union
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card cash advances, payments, money orders, cashier checks, corporate checks, wire transfers, payroll deduction forms, and direct deposit forms
  • Cross-sell products and services and provide information about credit union offerings
  • Update member accounts and handle member problems and complaints
  • Access safe deposit boxes when applicable
  • Handle and maintain security of large amounts of cash
  • Communicate with back-office departments regarding assistance and member requests
  • Open and close accounts, certificates, and related products
  • Create and order ATM/debit cards
  • Process stop payments and print member statements and histories
  • Perform remote capture of checks
  • Balance the cash drawer daily
  • Assist with night deposits and ATM deposits
  • Count cash deliveries, balance the ATM, file documents, maintain a clean and organized teller area and branch, assist with end-of-day duties, and stock lobby supplies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Basic computer and technology skills
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Honest, accountable, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Skilled in use of core system, CRM, and imaging once training is completed
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience
  • Ability to stand or sit for an extended period of time
  • Ability to view a computer monitor for an extended period
  • Ability to touch, feel, lift, operate, and control equipment, tools, and objects with the hands
  • Reaching ability
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Minimal to no travel required
