About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage daily teller operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding member service
- Supervise tellers and inform/train staff on new products, procedures, and policies
- Ensure all tellers, the branch, and vault balance daily
- Resolve transaction issues and assist employees with problem-solving and questions
- Order and detail Brinks cash; supply cash to tellers
- Process member transactions, accounts, certificates, stop payments, statements, histories, ATM/debit cards, remote check capture, and document scanning
- Open and access safe deposit boxes when applicable
- Handle and secure large amounts of cash, including balancing and supplying ATMs and cash dispensers
- Communicate with branch management, branch staff, and back-office departments regarding assistance and member requests
- Change security tapes and test alarms monthly
- Manage daily and Saturday staffing schedules
- Supervise night deposits, ATM deposits, wire transfers, large currency reports, deceased-member matters, and irate-member situations
- Prepare coin for pickup and compile end-of-month work
- Open and close the branch
- Complete pool teller evaluations, maintain bait-money logs, and pull imaging-system reports
- Conduct semiannual branch security meetings
- Process petty cash when necessary
- Attend credit union meetings as scheduled
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent in the English language
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Honest, accountable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Skilled in use of core system, CRM, and imaging once training is completed
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 12 months of credit union or similar experience
- Completion of internal Teller Supervisor and other required training programs
- Expert in use of Episys and Synapsys
- Satisfactory completion of Advanced Basics of Products and Services
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods
- Ability to view a computer monitor for extended periods
- Ability to handle, lift, operate, and control equipment, tools, and objects with the hands
