About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage daily teller operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency and outstanding member service
  • Supervise tellers and inform/train staff on new products, procedures and policies
  • Ensure all tellers, branch and vault are balanced daily
  • Assist employees with problem solving and questions
  • Supply cash for tellers and order/detail Brinks services
  • Process member transactions
  • Open and access safe deposit boxes when applicable
  • Handle and secure large amounts of cash, including balancing and supplying ATM and cash dispensers
  • Communicate with the branch manager, branch staff and back-office departments
  • Open and close accounts, certificates and other products
  • Process and create/order ATM and debit cards
  • Process stop payments, print member statements and histories
  • Remotely capture checks and scan documents
  • Change security tapes and test alarms monthly
  • Handle daily and Saturday staffing schedules
  • Supervise night deposits, ATM deposits, wire transfers, large currency reports and deceased-member matters
  • Handle irate members
  • Prepare coin for pickup
  • Compile end-of-month work
  • Open and close the branch
  • Complete pool teller evaluations, maintain bait-money logs and pull imaging-system reports
  • Conduct branch security meetings semi-annually
  • Process petty cash when necessary
  • Attend credit union meetings as scheduled

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 12-months credit union or like experience
  • Completion of internal Teller Supervisor and other required training programs
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Basic computer and technology skills
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Honest, accountable, maintains confidentiality
  • Skilled in use of core system, CRM and imaging once training is completed
  • Expert in use of Episys & Synapsys
  • Completed satisfactorily Advanced Basics of Products and Services
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to view a computer monitor for extended periods
  • Ability to touch, feel, lift, operate and control equipment, tools and objects with the hands
