About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities for Intelligent Transport Systems and roadside technology installations
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards
  • Support planning and scheduling of installation, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Act as the local technical point of contact for UK site operations
  • Liaise with engineering and project teams based in Spain to resolve technical issues and coordinate project activities
  • Monitor site progress, identify risks or delays, and propose practical mitigation measures
  • Attend site meetings with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Support testing, inspections, commissioning, and acceptance activities
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation
  • Assist Project Managers in delivering projects according to programme, budget, quality, and safety requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Approximately 3-8 years of experience in technical, infrastructure, transport, telecommunications, electrical, or construction-related projects
  • Experience coordinating site works, installations, or maintenance activities
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems and associated installation practices
  • Experience working with subcontractors and field teams
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site-related issues
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
  • Experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), highways technology, enforcement systems, communications networks, or roadside infrastructure
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and site acceptance activities
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation documentation
  • Knowledge of UK highways or infrastructure environments
  • Spanish language skills are highly desirable
  • Practical and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Proactive and capable of working with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
