About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as liaison between Human Resources and assigned business units
- Provide leadership, consultation, and support to employees and leaders at all levels
- Align HR strategies with business goals and advise on HR policies and HR-related matters
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct objective investigations
- Serve as escalation point for complex HR inquiries and coordinate timely resolution
- Handle routine HR tasks including offer letters, benefits and payroll inquiries, performance management, policy interpretation, and other transactions
- Deliver timely and accurate HR services to employees, managers, and stakeholders
- Partner with business leaders to understand goals, challenges, and workforce needs
- Coach leaders on team, organizational, and individual effectiveness
- Identify HR needs, opportunities, solutions, and risks involving workforce productivity, retention, engagement, organizational design, performance, and talent management
- Assess organizational needs and lead or support implementation of scalable solutions
- Analyze workforce data and communicate trends, risks, and strategic recommendations
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention
- Establish and maintain service-level agreements and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with site HR Managers, the Director, and VP to align tactical decisions with HR strategy
- Participate in bi-weekly HR Manager/HRBP meetings
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiencies
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws and partner with Legal as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in HR Generalist or equivalent role
- 3+ years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
- In-depth knowledge of current legal regulations guiding the labor market
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) or related software
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to understand organizational hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and related administrative practices
- Deep understanding of finance department planning, analysis, reporting, and controls
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred)
