About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research and identify news trends
- Build and maintain media lists
- Write, send, and follow up on pitches
- Coordinate interview scheduling
- Develop written materials including press releases and award submissions
- Prepare reports

Requirements
What you’ll need- Six months to one year education, internship or work experience in PR, journalism or corporate/government communications
- Experience working directly with journalists preferred but not required
- Curious, creative, and self-motivated
- Avid consumer of news and passionate about staying up to date on developments and trends in the media landscape
- Critical thinker and excellent writer
- Must know AP Style
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task while staying mindful of many deadlines
- High attention to detail
