About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify opportunities to build clients’ visibility in business, financial, and trade media
- Develop key messages, story angles, and media pitches on timely news pegs
- Send pitches to journalists and follow up to secure opportunities
- Manage multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion
- Anticipate challenges, troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, oversee quality, and ensure deadlines
- Delegate work to junior colleagues when relevant
- Understand clients’ businesses, strategies, investment approaches, industry issues, products, services, clients, and competitive landscapes
- Proactively identify and address client needs
- Prepare client status and activity reports
- Track action items, open and pending items, and media coverage
- Coordinate meetings and interview scheduling
- Develop agendas, reports, client emails, press releases, pitches, and bylined articles
- Route materials through client compliance review as needed
- Contribute to strategic media plans and execute agreed objectives
- Leverage and develop relationships with financial, business, trade, and mainstream journalists
- Assist, coach, and mentor junior professionals
- Pursue continuous learning and professional improvement
- Participate in initiatives supporting Infinite’s vision and values
- Demonstrate integrity, agility, compassion, and courage
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three years’ PR and communications work experience
- Exposure to financial services clients strongly preferred
- Prior agency experience strongly preferred
- Keen interest in financial markets, business and the news landscape
- Superior critical thinking, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Professional, collegial, and client service oriented
- Proven track record implementing creative and effective public relations initiatives with measurable client results
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Skilled with media database software, including Cision
- Experience with monitoring tools and research tactics
- Responsible use of AI tools
- Demonstrated writing strength
- Knowledge of AP style
- Ability to proof, edit, and coach others’ writing abilities
