About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research public records to determine whether applicants have criminal and/or civil records
- Validate individuals’ identities through accurate background-check information
- Build and maintain relationships with court personnel and members of the public
- Retrieve relevant information using public-record indexes
- Enter results into proprietary systems as “clear” or record information found in court indexes according to client instructions
- Communicate court holidays, closures, delays, structural updates, process changes, and fee adjustments to the Supervisor and InformData
- Provide timely updates on issues affecting business operations or customer commitments
- Serve as backup for other Field Researchers in the designated area
- Adhere to InformData quality and turnaround-time standards
- Report quality concerns and trending issues to the Supervisor
- Support ordering and completion of court-copy requests
- Conduct searches in surrounding areas or online when assigned
- Maintain expertise in background-screening processes and understand operational workflows
- Support accuracy, productivity, turnaround-time, time-service, and on-time-delivery KPIs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
- Collaborative team environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Daily access to reliable transportation, a computer, and high-speed internet
- Successfully complete all required introductory training
- Available during normal courthouse hours and willing to work overtime with prior notice
- Multi-tasking, time management, and detail-oriented processes
- Must pass a comprehensive background check
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
- Able to remain stationary for extended periods and operate office equipment
- Able to occasionally move, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry no more than 20 pounds
- Able to view multiple monitors and accurately transcribe data
