About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical leadership and manage day-to-day operations across multiple ambulatory infusion centers
  • Manage Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Mixologists delivering specialty infusions and injections
  • Engage in remote and in-person supervision with the Medical Director, including virtual case discussions, care-plan development, escalated patient issues and reactions, infusion protocol review, and documentation audits
  • Ensure clinical protocols are followed and patient safety is prioritized
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based patient care plans
  • Review and sign off on treatment notes and patient documentation
  • Occasionally provide direct patient care and demonstrate clinical skills for staff
  • Lead interviewing and hiring of new team employees
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and 1:1s
  • Provide leadership and training to foster a collaborative team culture and continuous improvement
  • Oversee clinic workflows, schedules, staffing, resource allocation, and patient care delivery
  • Maintain compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Track and analyze clinic performance data, including patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinic performance and patient care delivery
  • Audit inventory management and supplies
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives, regulatory audits, accreditation surveys, and audit-day activities
  • Conduct on-site visits to each clinic at least once a month
  • Provide real-time coaching and mentoring focused on process improvement and patient care
  • Cover clinics in Washington with travel throughout Apple Valley, Riverside, Loma Linda, Upland, Corona, and Chino Hills

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to manage complex clinical and operational issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Keen assessment and monitoring skills; ability to identify medication reactions quickly
  • Skilled at performing intravenous catheter placement and monitoring for signs and symptoms of infusion related complications
  • Competent in the care, use, and maintenance of central lines
  • Able to demonstrate infection control precautions and sterile technique
  • Possess knowledge of IV medications, biologics, fluids, and blood components
  • Skilled in drawing labs using aseptic technique
  • Ability to engage effectively in partnership with referring providers, deescalate challenging patient situations, and respond to grievances assuring the highest level of service to our partners and patients
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, efficient use of the internet and email, and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) from an accredited program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state(s) of practice
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in infusion therapy or related specialty
  • 2 years in healthcare leadership or management role preferred
  • Proven experience working with, influencing, and managing individuals with different licenses and scope of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certified Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) required
