About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical leadership and manage day-to-day operations across multiple ambulatory infusion centers
- Supervise RNs, LVNs, MAs, and mixologists through remote and in-person supervision
- Collaborate with the Medical Director on virtual case discussions, care-plan development, escalated patient issues and reactions, infusion protocols, and documentation audits
- Ensure clinical protocols, patient safety, regulatory standards, and organizational procedures are followed
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based patient care plans
- Review and sign off on treatment notes and patient documentation
- Occasionally provide direct patient care and demonstrate clinical skills to staff
- Interview and hire team employees
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and one-on-ones
- Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and support for a collaborative team culture
- Oversee clinic schedules, staffing, resource allocation, workflows, and patient care delivery
- Track and analyze clinic performance metrics, including patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency
- Develop strategies to improve clinic performance and patient care delivery
- Audit inventory management and supplies
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives, regulatory audits, accreditation surveys, and survey-day activities
- Conduct on-site visits to each clinic at least once monthly
- Provide real-time coaching and mentoring focused on process improvement and enhanced patient care
- Cover clinics in Bellevue, Mountlake Terrace, Olympia, Everett, and Tacoma, Washington, with travel throughout the region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of California
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to manage complex clinical and operational issues in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Keen assessment and monitoring skills; ability to identify medication reactions quickly
- Skilled at performing intravenous catheter placement and monitoring for infusion-related complications
- Competent in the care, use, and maintenance of central lines
- Ability to demonstrate infection control precautions and sterile technique
- Knowledge of IV medications, biologics, fluids, and blood components
- Skilled in drawing labs using aseptic technique
- Ability to partner effectively with referring providers, deescalate challenging patient situations, and respond to grievances
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, internet and email use, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) from an accredited program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state(s) of practice
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in infusion therapy or a related specialty
- 2 years in a healthcare leadership or management role preferred
- Proven experience working with, influencing, and managing individuals with different licenses and scopes of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- AANPCB or ANCC certification required
