Senior Agricultural Commodities Buyer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continuously monitor corn and other agricultural commodity markets, assessing trends and their impact on the business.
- Lead purchasing negotiations and contracts, seeking the best commercial, logistics, and supply terms.
- Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with producers, cooperatives, storage facilities, traders, and other participants in the agricultural supply chain.
- Work closely with S&OP, Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, and Sales teams to ensure raw material availability.
- Prepare market analyses, performance indicators, and cost projections to support decision-making by leadership and partner teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience purchasing agricultural commodities, sourcing grains, or working in related agribusiness market activities.
- Knowledge of negotiation, supplier management, and market analysis.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
