About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit and lead Therapeutic Specialty Representatives
- Develop team members through field coaching, structured feedback, and individualized development plans
- Create a culture of accountability, growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Identify and cultivate future leaders
- Partner with the VP of Sales, Area Sales Director, and peer District Sales Managers to shape national sales strategy
- Translate corporate objectives into district business plans reflecting local market dynamics, competition, and payer environments
- Establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms tied to launch milestones
- Analyze territory performance data to identify gaps, opportunities, and scalable best practices
- Conduct field rides involving observation, real-time coaching, and collaborative problem-solving
- Coach representatives on consultative selling, objection handling, payer access, and product differentiation
- Develop payer landscape fluency and translate insights into pull-through strategies
- Collaborate with Market Access and Hub Services to resolve coverage barriers and accelerate patient starts
- Track and share market access wins, barrier patterns, and resolution strategies
- Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, and Market Access for consistent brand execution
- Share customer insights, competitive intelligence, and execution challenges with broader strategy teams
- Facilitate collaboration with specialty pharmacy partners and patient services teams
- Represent the region in national sales meetings, strategy sessions, and launch planning forums
- Drive CRM discipline and documentation quality
- Monitor compliance with PDMA, adverse event/product complaint reporting, and promotional guidelines
- Conduct territory business reviews and align priorities
- Manage district budgets and resources to maximize ROI
- Maintain corporate policy, training, legal, and regulatory alignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years leading pharmaceutical or specialty sales teams, with front-line management experience required
- Proven success leading teams through product launches, ideally in specialty, allergy, or related therapeutic areas
- Deep understanding of sales strategy, market access dynamics, and HCP engagement models
- Track record of developing talent and improving team performance through effective coaching
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic action
- Willingness to travel 60–75%, including overnight stays for field rides, customer events, and company meetings
- Experience in rescue medication, allergy, or products addressing medication adherence/administration barriers preferred
- Background in specialty pharmacy or hub services operations preferred
- Previous management of geographically dispersed team preferred
- Final candidate must complete a drug test and background check prior to employment
