About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive appropriate utilization and growth of assigned therapies within a defined geography
  • Develop strategic customer relationships and execute account plans
  • Navigate complex access environments and collaborate with client counterparts
  • Serve as a trusted partner to healthcare providers, health systems, pharmacies, and other stakeholders
  • Drive awareness of product approval and clinical and non-clinical decision-making based on efficacy, safety, convenience, and access

  • Use strategic account planning to move customer conversations from interest to action
  • Ensure product access and educate stakeholders on product information, appropriate use, patient assistance, and reimbursement resources
  • Triage needs to appropriate experts and coordinate customer engagement across multispecialty accounts
  • Collaborate with Genentech cross-functional partners, including Case Managers, MSLs, and other internal stakeholders
  • Integrate digital solutions to provide insights, analyze trends, enable HCP adoption, improve patient access, and shape customer engagement
  • Apply systems thinking across providers, health systems, pharmacies, payers, and care teams to optimize patient access and treatment adoption

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of successful pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related commercial experience
  • Ophthalmology or Immunology experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to advance customer conversations toward clear outcomes and commitments, with a track record of driving decisions and achieving results in complex healthcare environments
  • Exceptional ability to navigate and mobilize internal partners and resources on behalf of customers and patients
  • Strong closing skills, including identifying barriers, addressing objections, gaining stakeholder alignment, and moving opportunities through execution
  • Proven ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations and partner across functions
  • Systems thinking across healthcare delivery, patient access, reimbursement, and treatment adoption
  • Ability to convert strategic account opportunities into tangible results through disciplined execution and stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to orchestrate multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
  • Ability to influence without authority and mobilize cross-functional resources
  • Strategic and action-oriented approach balancing long-term relationships with short-term execution and business results
