About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive appropriate utilization and growth of assigned therapies within a defined geography
- Develop strategic customer relationships and execute account plans
- Navigate complex access environments
- Collaborate with client counterparts
- Serve as a trusted partner to healthcare providers, health systems, pharmacies, and other stakeholders
- Drive awareness of product approval and clinical and non-clinical decision-making based on efficacy, safety, convenience, and access
- Engage and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Move customer conversations from interest to action through strategic account planning, insights, and barrier removal
- Ensure product access and educate stakeholders on product information, appropriate use, patient assistance, and reimbursement resources
- Collaborate across multispecialty accounts and coordinate customer engagement with Genentech cross-functional partners
- Triage customer and patient needs to appropriate resources and support
- Integrate digital solutions to provide insights, analyze trends, enable HCP adoption, and support patient access
- Apply systems thinking to develop strategies that optimize patient access and treatment adoption
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of successful pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related commercial experience
- Ophthalmology or Immunology experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to advance customer conversations toward clear outcomes and commitments in complex healthcare environments
- Ability to navigate and mobilize internal partners and resources for customers and patients
- Strong closing skills, including identifying barriers, addressing objections, gaining stakeholder alignment, and moving opportunities through execution
- Ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations and partner across functions
- Systems thinking across healthcare delivery, patient access, reimbursement, and treatment adoption
- Ability to convert strategic account opportunities into tangible results
- Ability to orchestrate multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to influence without authority and mobilize cross-functional resources
- Strategic and action-oriented approach balancing long-term relationships with short-term execution and business results
- Strong executive presence engaging senior healthcare leaders
