About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a territory plan with Regional Sales Managers aligned with IWP’s sales strategy and objectives
  • Prospect and develop new business relationships through networking, cold-calling, and marketing data
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers to gain buy-in for IWP’s value proposition
  • Inspect current accounts for unmet needs and service deficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Communicate service value propositions through in-person presentations and electronic communications
  • Measure initial referral sources and cultivate referral increases
  • Close self-generated business opportunities
  • Gain additional referrals by building relationships with current clients
  • Create a client referral base to support new account close ratios
  • Manage and grow a dedicated sales territory
  • Conduct quarterly and annual business planning with the Director and Regional Sales
  • Build working relationships across healthcare, medical-device, local-union, and patient-advocacy industries
  • Complete administrative duties, including expense submissions, travel planning, and Salesforce maintenance
  • Collaborate with Home Office Support teams on sales-related matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) outside sales
  • Preferred 5+ years of B2B outside sales experience
  • Documented sales history/awards
  • Experience building relationships with established key strategic partners or key opinion leaders
  • Highly self-motivated with exemplary time management and problem-solving skills
  • Customer relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software applications
  • Able to travel locally and nationally (25% to 35%), including attendance at regional and national sales meetings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of selling techniques, including prospecting, overcoming objections, presentation skills, gaining commitment, and negotiation
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field of study, or equivalent
