About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Strategy professionals
  • Set expectations for strategic thinking, presentation quality, client readiness, and executional feasibility
  • Manage workload, priorities, resource allocation, intake, assignments, and deadlines
  • Develop and oversee client-facing strategies, proposals, recommendations, narratives, presentations, and campaign materials
  • Translate client business goals into actionable media, audience, shopper, and campaign strategies
  • Provide strategic support for complex, high-value, or high-priority opportunities
  • Guide post-campaign recommendations covering performance insights, learnings, optimization, and future growth
  • Partner with Sales and Client Success on RFPs, proposals, pitches, planning sessions, and growth opportunities
  • Develop audience strategies, channel mix recommendations, campaign approaches, retail and shopper strategies, and measurement frameworks
  • Participate in strategic pitches and client presentations
  • Guide recommendations using shopper and retailer data, behavioral insights, category intelligence, campaign performance, and market trends
  • Integrate retail media, incentives and loyalty solutions, omnichannel activation, programmatic media, social media, and shopper marketing
  • Oversee proposal decks, strategic sales presentations, wrap decks, business reviews, and executive presentations
  • Coach team members on clear, concise, persuasive executive storytelling
  • Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, Analytics, Media Operations, Product, Retail, and Measurement
  • Align strategy, storytelling, execution, and measurement with internal capabilities
  • Establish workflows, presentation frameworks, templates, reusable content, best-practice libraries, and technology- and AI-enabled workflows
  • Identify process improvements and scale Client Strategy support while maintaining quality
  • Improve proposal quality, differentiation, win potential, team productivity, and cross-functional execution alignment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6–9+ years of experience in client strategy, media strategy, shopper marketing, retail media, strategic planning, or account strategy
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading team members
  • Strong understanding of CPG industry dynamics, retail ecosystems and shopper marketing, retail media, and omnichannel campaign strategy
  • Proven experience developing and/or overseeing strategic proposal decks, executive presentations, client-facing narratives, campaign recommendation materials, and RFP responses
  • Ability to coach and develop strategic talent
  • Ability to translate data into strategic storytelling
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into executive-ready recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong executive presentation and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Experience within retail media networks, incentive and loyalty ecosystems, or digital and programmatic media environments
  • Familiarity with audience targeting and segmentation, incrementality and attribution measurement, and shopper and behavioral data platforms
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations, CPG brands and agencies, and integrated retail marketing strategies
  • Experience developing processes, templates, strategic frameworks, or team best practices
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
