About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect and analyze clinical medication and medication-related data from EPIC EMR, MedWise, PBM, medical claims, and finance data
- Analyze pharmacy medication claims for potential fraud, waste, and abuse, including overcharges, over-dispensing, and wasteful utilization
- Synthesize data sources to report clinical quality and performance metrics to senior leadership
- Develop and execute analyses supporting clinical quality improvement, care management, and utilization management
- Support medication-use initiatives through data accumulation, consolidation, performance tracking, intervention targeting, and improvement
- Perform concurrent review and retrospective in-depth analysis of patient records and medication claims
- Develop, maintain, and improve KPI dashboards for senior management
- Generate data analyses and reports for senior leadership, clinical, and quality staff
- Present results orally, in writing, and visually to subject matter experts and lay audiences
- Serve as organization-wide content expert on measurement and analysis methods
- Advise senior leaders and quality staff on data collection, research implications, and data-driven improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical leadership, quality personnel, Risk Management, Compliance, Clinical staff, IT Data Analytics, and Clinical Applications
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, assess unmet needs, advise on trends, and coordinate process-improvement project teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in research, statistics, health administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with data analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of experience generating and ensuring accurate, easily understood data analyses and presenting results orally, in writing, or graphically
- Working knowledge of healthcare industry medication quality measures, clinical performance, and financial measures
- Experience obtaining and manipulating healthcare data, such as medication claims and clinical values
- Working experience with EPIC Slicer/Dicer and Clarity data program preferred
- Mastery of MS Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
- Advanced skills using Tableau, Excel, SQL, and other databases preferred
- Experience constructing and using pivot tables, advanced formulas, VBA, and macros preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships
- Organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic, proactive, self-motivated, dependable, and driven by excellence
- Ability to balance multiple tasks amid changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Florida applicants must complete a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
