About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycle for AMENA
  • Own the FP&A calendar and governance framework across countries, functions, and business units
  • Improve planning processes, models, tools, data flows, and system adoption
  • Standardise and automate recurring reporting
  • Ensure planning assumptions are documented, challenged, aligned with business drivers, and traceable across financial cycles
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to reflect actuals accurately in forecasts and management reporting
  • Maintain an integrated view of AMENA actuals, forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, and scenarios
  • Ensure consistency of financial data, KPIs, assumptions, reporting hierarchies, and version control
  • Lead monthly performance reviews and explain results against forecast, budget, prior year, and strategic targets
  • Provide rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, sensitivities, and early warning indicators
  • Resolve data gaps, reporting inconsistencies, and duplicated outputs
  • Maintain and facilitate reviews of material risks and opportunities across AMENA
  • Quantify financial impacts and track mitigation, trade-off, and acceleration actions
  • Build best-case, base-case, and downside scenario views for leadership
  • Escalate emerging risks and decision points to the Finance Director with recommendations
  • Build FP&A capability across modelling, storytelling, systems, governance, stakeholder management, business acumen, and executive communication
  • Set roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development plans for team members
  • Assist the Finance Director with business presentations and financial narratives
  • Prepare analytics and recommendations for corporate finance and senior leaders
  • Represent the Finance Director in selected forums and ensure follow-through on actions and governance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
  • 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A, commercial finance, business planning, management reporting, or regional finance roles
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, business drivers, internal controls, and performance management
  • Ability to lead planning cycles, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines in a matrixed, regional environment
  • Advanced analytical and modelling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot
  • Experience with ERP, BI, planning, consolidation, or FP&A systems highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convert data into insight and clear recommendations
  • Leadership capability, including coaching, developing, and managing a high-performing finance team
  • Commercially minded, curious, proactive, and comfortable challenging assumptions while building trust-based relationships
  • High standards of integrity, governance, accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability
